March '14 • Neutrals by the Beach

Monday, March 24, 2014

Back in New York as I'm writing this, and this is the last bits of my spring break in LA! Honestly, I was not dressed properly for the tide pools (cropped sweater in 75 degrees weather?) because my boyfriend and I decided to go last minute so I had some trouble walking on rocks with my flip flops while sweating nonstop. The view was beautiful though, and it was definitely worth the trip. I really miss the warm weather now that I'm back in the City because it is still so cold here even though it's already the end of March.

With this outfit, I keep it very causal by using neutral color pieces like my beige cropped sweater and black high waisted jean shorts. To keep the sun from blinding my eyes, I wore my Aviator Ray bans!

March '14 • Living in LA and Pizza

Friday, March 21, 2014

On this day, I headed out to Koreatown in LA to meet up with some friends from New York and eat the yummiest pizza at Mr. Pizza on Wilshire Blvd. This was a special meet up because I was introducing my boyfriend to my friends (muhaha). Because he goes to school in California, there was never a chance for him to see my friends until now! I guess I wanted to dress fancier than usual so that I can look good for both my friends and him haha. I found this grey dress in the back of my closet and decided to wear it when I can for the warm weather, and I topped it off with a speckled knit cardigan, statement necklace, fringe bag, and my Jeffrey Campbell Litas. I have to give photo creds to my boyfriend for the pictures (Thanks Justin!) because it's always too much fun having him take my pictures.

March '14 • Spring Break in LA

Monday, March 17, 2014

It's always nice being back home, especially when my mom and I head out to Urth Caffe for brunch and shop around in Santa Monica! It feels more like summer than spring in LA, but I'm not complaining because I am finally able to leave the house without a jacket. I plan to soak in all the sun and visit lots of different places until I have to head back to the City on Sunday, so be on the lookout for more outfit posts!

March '14 • High Line

Saturday, March 8, 2014

Soaking in the sun (when I can) at the High Line Park in Chelsea today! One of the perks of going to school in the City is that professors assign you to go visit places like the park for homework. Since it was such a nice day out, sun shinning and all, my friend and I decided to stroll down to High Line instead of taking the train. The walk was much needed after spending the week cramped in my room, writing essays and preparing for midterms. But I will be heading back to California for spring break later this week, which motivates me to get my work done so that I can leave with no worries!

Hoping that the next time I post, I will be in sunny Cali,

March '14 • Brooklyn Flea Market

Saturday, March 1, 2014

Chilly Saturdays will not stop me from heading down to Brooklyn for the Brooklyn flea market! I've been planning on going to the flea for quite some time now, but I didn't get a chance to go until today. Unfortunately, the train that could have taken me directly to Bedford Av. (the subway stop nearest to the flea market venue) was not operating today, so I had the pleasure of transferring trains AND getting on a bus to get there. But it was all worth it because the flea market had so many amazing shops--jewelry, clothes, home goods, you name it! It's definitely worth the trip if you have time to kill and want to see cool, vintage-y things. I can't forget to mention the food at the flea market because everything smelled so good and the s'mores...literally heaven in your mouth (haha). Afterwards, I headed to Blue Bottle Coffee to grab their New Orleans Iced Coffee, which was very delicious, and admired the cafe's dainty interior design. Overall, a satisfying Saturday although the weather just seems to get worse and worse!
