March '14 • Brooklyn Flea Market

Chilly Saturdays will not stop me from heading down to Brooklyn for the Brooklyn flea market! I've been planning on going to the flea for quite some time now, but I didn't get a chance to go until today. Unfortunately, the train that could have taken me directly to Bedford Av. (the subway stop nearest to the flea market venue) was not operating today, so I had the pleasure of transferring trains AND getting on a bus to get there. But it was all worth it because the flea market had so many amazing shops--jewelry, clothes, home goods, you name it! It's definitely worth the trip if you have time to kill and want to see cool, vintage-y things. I can't forget to mention the food at the flea market because everything smelled so good and the s'mores...literally heaven in your mouth (haha). Afterwards, I headed to Blue Bottle Coffee to grab their New Orleans Iced Coffee, which was very delicious, and admired the cafe's dainty interior design. Overall, a satisfying Saturday although the weather just seems to get worse and worse!

  2. Totally jealous! I've always wanted to live in New York. I'm sure it has its challenges, but things like the Brooklyn flea market must make it worth it, no? The flea market there has such a different vibe from ours here in New Mexico! :) I'd love to see it someday; thanks for taking me there without a plane ticket!
